The Model A Ford Youth Scholarship Fund, Inc. was established in 2001 as a 501(c)(3) (tax exempt) organization to assist children and/or grandchildren of any MAFCA or MARC member in pursuing their higher education, whether it be at a state university, college or technical school. The scholarships awarded are $1000 for up to four years. The main criterion is involvement in the Model A hobby. The funds come from financial contributions and various fundraising efforts from MAFCA and MARC members and chapters. Some member families have requested donations be made to the Model A Ford Youth Scholarship Fund, Inc. out of respect for a death in the family, or are including the Fund in their wills. All of the funds that are contributed become part of the Scholarship Fund. The Fund administrators donate their time and receive no compensation for their time and efforts.

The first scholarships were awarded in 2002. All scholarship winners receive $1,000 every year for up to four years of undergraduate studies upon submission of satisfactory grade requirements.

$100,000 in scholarships has been awarded in 2002 through 2007 to 29 deserving children. Click on the AWARDS button for their names and locations.

Unfortunately, we are unable to award a scholarship to each applicant, as we are limited to the funds we raise each year. A very big THANK YOU to the MAFCA and MARC Chapters/Regions and their members who have donated to the Model A Ford Youth Scholarship Fund, Inc. If you have not donated, you are urged to do so - the kids need it. Remember, it is a non-profit organization and is, therefore, a tax-deductible contribution.
